AN ORDINANCE AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
THE CONSTRUCTION AND REMODELING OF IVES
COMMUNITY CENTER AS A FAMILY SERVICE
CENTER; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitations for bids for the construction and
remodeling of Ives Community Center into a family service center -
south, a project in the Model Cities Program, have been duly
advertised and bids received pursuant thereto, all in accordance
with law; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid received
for said construction and remodeling was that of Howe, Inc. in the
amount of $36,530.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to Howe, Inc. in
the amount of Thirty Six Thousand Five Hundred Thirty and no /100
Dollars ($36,530.00) for the construction and remodeling of Ives
Community Center as provided for by plans, specifications and bid
proposal on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent.
SECTION 2. The funds to pay the contract price above set
forth shall be provided and paid from Model Cities funds.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of the contract price herein identified upon the
completion of construction and remodeling, complying in all respects
with the plans and specifications and bid proposal as identified.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
