ORDINANCE NO. 12 , 389
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 38 -3 OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, SAME REGULATING
HEIGHTS FOR TELEVISION AND RADIO TOWERS
AND ANTENNAS WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 38 -3 of the Code of Ordinances pertaining to
height regulations of Television and Radio towers and antennas is
hereby amended to read as follows:
A. GROUND MOUNTED TOWERS:
1. No steel or other metal ground mounted towers shall
exceed seventy -five feet in height above adjacent
ground.
2. No wood mounted tower shall exceed twenty feet in
height above the adjacent ground.
B. ROOF MOUNTED TOWERS:
1. No steel or other metal tower mounted on the roof
of any commercial or industrial building shall exceed
fifty feet in height above the roof line of the building
on which the same is mounted.
2. No steel or other metal tower mounted on the roof of
any residential building shall exceed twenty -five
feet in height above the roof line of the building on
which the same is mounted.
3. No wood roof mounted tower shall exceed twenty feet in
height above the adjacent ground.
Provided, however, the Board of Adjustment may grant a waiver of
these height limitations upon application duly filed therewith complying
in all respects with the rules and regulations of the said Board of
Adjustment.
Provided, further, no permit shall be issued for the erection of
a television or radio tower which would in any way constitute a hazard
to air travel as recommended or required by the Civil Aeronautics
Authority.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
