HomeMy WebLinkAbout12388ai •I �, I �I ORDINANCE No. 12,388 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PARTS OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; ADOPTING THE 1970 EDITION OF THE FIRE PREVENTION CODE ISSUED BY THE AMERICAN INSURANCE ASSOCIATION; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF SAID CODE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS- SECTION le Section 13 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 13 -1e Adoption of fire prevention code. There is hereby adopted by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock for the purpose of prescrib- ing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain code known as the Fire Prevention Code recommended by the American Insurance Association (successor to National Board of Fire Underwriters), being particularly the 1970 Edition thereof and the whole thereof, save and except such portions as are hereinafter deleted, modi- fied or amended, of which code not less than three copies have been and now are filed in the office of the City Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein and the provi- sions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the City of Little Rock." SECTION 20 It is the intention of this Ordinance to adopt in the place and stead of the Fire Prevention Code (1965 Edition) the Fire Prevention Code (1970 Edition), together with the modifications and deletions thereto heretofore existing under Article 1 of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances. All of the modifications to the Fire Prevention Code contained within Section 13 -5 of the Code of Ordi- nances of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as amended, are adopted fully as continuing modifications of the said Fire Prevention Code (1970 Edition) Go C - 7-0 A -7 R ' -2- SECTION 3.
