AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR
LEASING CERTAIN HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR
USE BY THE LANDFILL DEPARTMENT;
AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the leasing of
certain heavy equipment for'use by the Landfill Department; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders
have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of
Directors to authorize the leasing of these items from and
by the lowest responsible and responsive bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,_ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on
contracts for the lease of certain heavy equipment are hereby
accepted and contracts awarded as follows:
ITEM SUCCESSFUL BIDDER PRICE
One crawler - tractor Little Rock Road $1,725.25
bulldozer Machinery Co.
One dozer - compactor J. A. Riggs Co. $2,575.00
TERM
12 months
12 months
SECTION 2. Upon delivery of the aforementioned items, complying
in all respects with the bidding specifications and bid proposals,
the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in
payment of said purchase price.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
