HomeMy WebLinkAbout12507ORDINANCE NO. 12,507 ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING JANE STREET FROM ASHER AVENUE SOUTH TO 33rd STREET IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, a letter petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 4th day of May, 1971, asking the Board of Directors pursuant to their powers as stated in Ark. Stat. 19 -2304, to vacate and abandon all of Jane Street from Asher Avenue south to 33rd Street in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the Plat of said Intercity Addition now appearing of record in Plat Book 2 at page 98 in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said street; and WHEREAS, after due notices as required by lave the Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street hereinbefore described has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street as herein described has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the Plat and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally in and to that portion of Jane Street designated as follows: COD- .D -a Jane Street from Asher Avenue south to 33rd Street situated between the east side of Lot 10 of Toska Leymer's Subdivision and the west side of Lots 6 and 7, Block 2 of the Intercity Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said street. SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the deed records of the County. SECTION 3.
