AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CLUB
HOUSE IN HINDMAN PARK; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant
and according to law for the construction of a Club House in Hindman Park in the City
of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has been determined
and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the building of this Club
House by the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; to appropriate money therefor;
and to authorize payment thereof.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The lowest responsive and responsible revised base bid on a
contract for the building of a Club House in Hindman Park in the City of Little Rock
is hereby accepted and the Contract awarded as follows:
Item: Hindman Club House
Successful Bidder: R. B. C. Construction Company, Inc.
Revised Base Bid Contract Price: $150,180.00
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965 Improvement Construction
Fund the sum of $40,000.00 and from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund the
sum of $123,663.00 to be used for the payment of the cost of construction of said Club
House and fees to the Architect heretofore approved for said project.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the contract
price, upon compliance with the terms and conditions of the bid specifications and bid
proposal. Further, City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and
directed to pay the Architect fees from the appropriation herein above made,
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
