AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $1,371.00
FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL
FUND AS A REFUND TO THE ARKANSAS COMMISSION ON
CRIME AND LAW ENFORCEMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has heretofore applied
to and been made the recipient of a grant from the Arkansas
Commission on Crime and Law Enforcement in the amount of
$10,434.00 to be used for the purchase of 47 Radio Communication
Scramblers for use by the Little Rock Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the City was able to purchase said scramblers
for the sum of $9,063.00 leaving an unused balance in said
grant account in the amount of $1,371.00 which now should be
refunded to the granting agency.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated balance of the General Fund the sum of $1,371.00
and the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the voucher of the City in
said amount payable to the Arkansas Commission on Crime and
Law Enforcement as a reimbursement of unused funds made
available from said State Agency in 1969 to purchase 47 Radio
Communication Scramblers for use by the Little Rock Police
Department.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
