AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM AT THE MUSEUM
OF SCIENCE AND NATURAL HISTORY, APPRO-
PRIATING $5,351.50, AUTHORIZING PAY-
MENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation for bid was duly advertised and
bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the pur-
chase and installation of air conditioning and modifying the
heating system in the Museum of Science and Natural History
at McArthur Park in the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
meeting specifications has been determined and it is the desire
of the Board of Directors to authorize and award the contract
to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder meeting specifi-
cations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIREC-
TORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That a contract is hereby awarded to General
Air Conditioning Company, 5301 Interstate 30, Frontage Road, Lit-
tle Rock, Arkansas, in the amount of $29,951.50 which amount in-
cludes sales tax for the purchase and installation of the air
conditioning system and the modification of the heating system in
the Museum of Science and Natural History at McArthur Park.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the un-
expended balance of the General Fund, the sum of $5,351.50 to be
used together with other monies in payment of the contract price
and engineering fee.

SECTION 3. Upon delivery of the aforementioned air
conditioning system and the completion of the installation and
modification of the system, complying in all respects with the
bidding specifications and bid proposal, the City Manager and
Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to exe-
cute the necessary warrant or warrants in payments of the con-
tract price and engineering fee.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
