HomeMy WebLinkAbout12635ORDINANCE NO. 12,635 AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR FIRE AND EXTENDED COVERAGE INSURANCE FOR CITY OWNED BUILDINGS; APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE UNAPPRO- PRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, invitation for bids was published and bids received pursuant thereto for the purchase of fire and extended coverage insurance for city owned buildings; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the purchase of this insurance from the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bidder on a contract for the purchase of fire and extended coverage for city owned buildings is hereby accepted and a contract awarded as follows: SUCCESSFUL ITEM SUCCESSFUL BIDDER BIDDER Fire and extended coverage Cobb, Atkins, Boyd & $14,142.00 for for city owned buildings - Eggleston one year 3 years, $500.00 deductible Worthen Bank Building Little Rock, Arkansas SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund the sum of Six thousand, one hundred and forty two dollars, ($6,142.00) to be used together with other funds appropriated in the 1972 Budget for the purpose of paying the premiums for the insurance coverage herein provided. SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the premiums herein provided in keeping with the terms and conditions of the contract of insurance. o00 -'r© 4 -3 -2- SECTION 4.
