HomeMy WebLinkAbout12611ORDINANCE NO. 12,611 ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF "Z" STREET IN BLOCK 24, BELLEVUE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 7th day of December, 1971, and amended on Janu- ary 18, 1972, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a portion of "Z" Street in Block 24, Bellevue Addition to the City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book 1, Page 251, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said street; and, WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street, hereinabove described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street, as herein described, has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon the alley to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, here- by releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together z ' with the rights of public generally, in and to the street designated as follows: That part of "Z" Street (formerly known as "J" Street), lying North of and adja- cent to Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Block 24, Bellevue Addition to the City of Little Rock, being a tract of land 30 feet by 300 feet, subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said street. SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certi- fied by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County. SECTION 3.
