AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO A SUBCONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE
ARKANSAS ART CENTER AND THE MUSEUM OF SCIENCE
AND NATURAL HISTORY TO PROVIDE THE RECREATIONAL
SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
FUNDED BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $10,000.00 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
subcontract with the Arkansas Art Center and the Museum of
Science and Natural History to provide recreational support
program for the youth of this community to be funded by
grant funds from the United States Department of Labor at a
cost not to exceed $10,000.00. Further, the City Manager
is hereby authorized to apply for, make application for and
receive from the United States Department of Labor funds needed
to defray the cost of this recreational support program and
when such funds are received they shall be deposited as reim-
bursement to the General Fund of the City of Little Rock in
replacing the appropriation made in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated
balance of the General Fund the sum of $10,000.00 to defray the
cost of the recreational support program authorized in Section 1
hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
