HomeMy WebLinkAbout12660ORDINANCE NO. 12,660 ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE STREET DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: A part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point on the South line of the Twelfth Street Pike, 348 feet West, as measured along said Pike, of the East line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, thence South to the South line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter, thence East approximately 18 feet, thence North to a point on the South line of the Twelfth Street Pike, which is 330 feet West of the East line of said Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter as measured along the line of said highway, thence West 18 feet along the South line of said highway to the point of beginning. WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 20th day of April 1972, asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of the above described street as now appearing of record in Chancery Book 118, Page 86, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been set aside to the public by the Will of Frank Furrer as a street, as herein described; has never been actually used by the public as a street; that all of the owners of the property abutting upon the street to be vacated are Petitioners herein; and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon- ment of such street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public generally, in and to the street hereinabove described. CCC - Iq � � w SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
