AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THREE YEARS FOR
VEHICLE LIABILITY INSURANCE ON THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK'S
ROLLING STOCK; APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant
thereto according to law for vehicle liability insurance for the City of
Little Rock's rolling stock; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been deter-
mined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the purchase
of this insurance from the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded for vehicle liability insurance
on the City of Little Rock's rolling stock to Bonds and Associates, Incorporated,
for contract of insurance to be underwritten by the Great American Insurance
Company of New York for three (3) years with a $500.00 property damage deduc-
tible at an annual premium of $52,000.00, said policy taking effect at 12:01
a. m., July 6, 1972.
SECTION 2. The sum of $22,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the un-
expended balance of the General Fund to defray the cost of said vehicle
liability insurance as set forth in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
