AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF CERTAIN EQUIPMENT FOR THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT, LIGHTING HALL COVE PARK
TENNIS COURTS AND REROOFING THE TRAFFIC
BUILDING; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the purchase of certain equipment
for the Police Department, for reroofing the Traffic Building and
lighting the tennis courts at Hall Cove Park; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
the purchase of this equipment, for reroofing the Traffic Building and
for lighting the tennis courts from and by the lowest responsible and
responsive bidders.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on contracts
for certain equipment for the Police Department, reroofing the Traffic
Building and lighting Hall Cove Park tennis courts are hereby accepted
and contracts awarded as follows:
One (1) VHF High Bank Motorola Communications $2,952.18
Repeater & Electronics Corp.
11516 Ashwood Rd.
Little Rock, Ark.
Lighting Tennis Courts Fagan Electric Co. $6,306.00
at Hall Cove Park 3401 West 65th St.
Little Rock, Ark.
Reroofing Traffic E. R. Looper & Son $7,600.50
Building 1401 South Pine
Little Rock, Ark.
SECTION 2. That part of Resolution No. 4,695, adopted December 7,
1971, which awards a contract to Green Roofing Co., Clarendon, Ark. for
reroofing the Traffic Building is hereby repealed inasmuch as Green
Roofing Company is unable to fulfill the bidding requirements and speci-
fications set forth in the bid proposal.

SECTION 3. Upon delivery and /or completion of the aforementioned
items, complying in all respects with the bidding specifications and
bid proposal, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants
in payment of said contract price.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
