3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SUNBELT FIRE, INC., TO PURCHASE ONE
5 (1) TRENCH/UTILITY RESCUE TRUCK FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE
6 DEPARTMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
7 FORTY -NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($249,000.00), TO INCLUDE THE
8 COST OF REQUIRED ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL
9 MODIFICATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department needs a Trench /Utility Rescue Truck, also known as a
CBRNE Response Vehicle, to provide air re- supply at extended incidents, as well as a light tower for safe
scene work and a hydraulic generator for additional electrical supply on the scene; and,
WHEREAS, this multipurpose vehicle will assist in USAR, Hazmat and EOC operations throughout
the City and through mutual aid to other jurisdictions; and,
WHEREAS, a bid was issued for the purchase of the CBRNE response vehicle and Sunbelt Fire,
Incorporated submitted the most responsive and responsible bid for the total amount not to exceed Two
Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars ($249,000.00), which allows for electrical and mechanical
modifications as required during the construction phase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
Sunbelt Fire, Incorporated to purchase one (1) Trench /Utility Rescue Truck, also called a CBRNE
Response Vehicle, in a total amount not to exceed Two Hundred Forty-Nine Thousand Dollars
($249,000.00), including electrical and mechanical modifications as required during the construction
phase.
Section 2. Funds for the purchase of this unit are allocated in the Little Rock 2010 Homeland
Security Grant Program administered by the City Manager's Emergency Management Division.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.

Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
