3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH J. A. RIGGS TRACTOR COMPANY, IN THE
5 TOTAL AMOUNT OF EIGHTY -EIGHT THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED
6 THIRTY -SEVEN DOLLARS ($88,137.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF
7 ONE (1) 289CA COMPACT TRACK LOADER AND MULCHER FOR
8 THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
9 NATIONAL JOINT POWER ALLIANCE CONTRACT; AND FOR
10 OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of one (1) 289CA Compact Track
Loader and Mulcher to replace aging equipment which have maintenance expenses; and,
WHEREAS, by utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, the City Fleet
Services Department can purchase one (l) 289CA Compact Track Loader and Mulcher, from J. A. Riggs
Tractor Company at a cost of Eighty -Eight Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars ($88,137.00);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
for the purchase of one (1) 289CA Compact Track Loader and Mulcher for the Parks and Recreation
Department, utilizing the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) Contract, for the amount of Eighty -
Eight Thousand, One Hundred Thirty-Seven Dollars ($88,137.00).
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 3/8¢ -Cent Capital Sales Tax.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
