3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 REALLOCATE FUNDS FROM THE TIGER III GRANT MATCH TO
5 THE FEMA RIVER TRAIL PROJECT FOR MATCHING FUNDS TO BE
6 USED TOWARD REPAIR OF THE LANDSLIDE AND CONSTRUCTION
7 OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, after bids were sought for the repair of a landslide on the Arkansas River Trail and the
11 lowest bidder exceeded the funds allowed by FEMA, Parks and Recreation staff requested that FEMA
12 officials review the scope and see if additional funds could be secured; and,
13 WHEREAS, FEMA approved extending funds to Seven Hundred Twenty- Seven, One Hundred Ten
14 Dollars ($727,110.00); and,
15 WHEREAS, the City's match of 12.5% will be Ninety Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty -Eight and
16 75/100 Dollars ($90,888.75) toward the repair of the landslide and construction of the Arkansas River
17 Trail Project; and,
18 WHEREAS, in order to meet match requirements, it is recommended that those funds be reallocated
19 from the TIGER III Grant Match Account to the FEMA River Trail Project; and,
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to reallocate Ninety
23 Thousand, Eight Hundred Eighty -Eight and 75/100 Dollars from the TIGER III Grant Match Account to
24 the FEMA River Trail Project, for the purpose of repairing the landslide and construction of the Arkansas
25 River Trail.
26 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
27 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
28 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
29 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
30 resolution.
31 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
32 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
