HomeMy WebLinkAbout135631 RESOLUTION NO. 13,563 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH DIAMOND INTERNATIONAL OF LITTLE 5 ROCK TO PURCHASE TWO (2), TWELVE (12) CUBIC -YARDS DUMP 6 TRUCKS WITH AUXILIARY HYDRAULICS, IN THE AMOUNT OF 7 TWO HUNDRED TWENTY -SIX THOUSAND, EIGHT HUNDRED 8 SIXTY -SEVEN AND 34/100 DOLLARS ($226,867.34), FOR THE PUBLIC 9 WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Public Works Department needs to purchase two (2), twelve (12) cubic -yards dump 12 trucks with auxiliary hydraulics; and, 13 WHEREAS, a bid was issued for the purchase of two (2), twelve- cubic -yards dump trucks with 14 auxiliary hydraulics, and Diamond International of Little Rock submitted the most responsive and 15 responsible bid in the total amount of Two Hundred Twenty -Six Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty -Seven 16 and 34/100 Dollars ($226,867.34); 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 18 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 20 Diamond International of Little Rock to purchase two (2), twelve- cubic -yards dump trucks with auxiliary 21 hydraulics for the Public Works Department, for the amount of Hundred Twenty -Six Thousand, Eight 22 Hundred Sixty -Seven and 34/100 Dollars ($226,867.34). 23 Section 2. Funds for the purchase of this unit are allocated in the 2011 Short-Term Financing 24 account. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
