AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION
OF AN UNNAMED STREET SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF
R. D. DUNCAN'S ADDITION TO LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, Commonwealth Service Corporation, filed
a petition with the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, asking the Board to close, vacate
and abandon the following described portion of a street,
to wit:

All that part of an unnamed street shown
on the Plat of R. D. DUNCAN'S ADDITION
to Little Rock, Arkansas, in Plat Book 11
at Page 178, in the office of the Record-
er for Pulaski County, Arkansas, which
lies between Blocks 2 and 3 of said
addition.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
Board of Directors has at the time and place mentioned in
the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and has ascertained that the petitioner is the
owner of all property abutting the portion of said street
to be closed; that the petitioner, by its petition, has
consented to the vacation of the street; that the portion
of the street to be closed is not required for public pur-
poses and has not been actually used by the public for a
much greater period than five (5) years, if in fact it was
ever so used; and that the public interest and welfare will
be benefited by abandonment of such portion of such street;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its right, to-
gether with the right of the public generally, in and to
the following described portion of a street, to wit:
All that part of an unnamed street shown
on the Plat of R. D. DUNCAN'S ADDITION
to Little Rock, Arkansas, in Plat Book 1,
at Page 178, in the office of the Record-
er for Pulaski County, Arkansas, which
lies between Blocks 2 and 3 of said
addition.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly cer-
tified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of
the Recorder and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
Section 3. Whereas, the existence of the afore-
said portion of an unnamed street shown on the Plat of R.
D. DUNCAN'S ADDITION to Little Rock, Arkansas is adverse
to the public interest and welfare, an emergency is de-
clared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
