AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR LIGHTING
WALKER TENNIS CENTER; APPROPRIATING FUNDS;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for lighting of
tennis courts at Walker Tennis Center; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
has been determined and it is the desire of the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock to award a contract to
the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid for
lighting the Walker Tennis Center is hereby awarded to:
Bradshaw Electric Company
P. 0. Box 4531
Little Rock, Arkansas
for a contract price of $19,220.00.
An additional sum of $500.00 is hereby authorized to be paid
to the above named contractor as a "Bonus Payment" provided
that the Contractor completes the lighting contract within
seventy -five (75) days, May 16, 1973 being the completion date
set.
SECTION 2. The sum of $19,720.00 is hereby appropriated
from the unexpended balance of the General Fund to defray the
cost of the contract price herein.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the lighting work complying
in all respects with bidding specifications, the City Manager
and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed
to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the
contract price.
SECTION 4. This Ordinalice shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
