ORDINANCE NO. 12,767
AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING THE DESCRIPTION OF LANDS ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS AND ANNEXING A CERTAIN
TRACT OF LAND, WHICH LAND IS CONTIGUOUS TO THE EXISTING
PRESENT CITY LIMITS, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, upon the Petition of Thomas W. Parker, Trustee,
and others, and after due notice of a hearing on said Petition,
which notice was published for the time and in the manner prescribed
by law, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, did on
danuary 29, 1973, enter its Order annexing to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas a certain parcel of land described as Section "G ".
Twin Lakes Subdivision, Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas did thereafter on March 20, 1973 consider and fitd it
desirable that the property aforesaid be annexed to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas and did on that date adopt a certain
ordinance, being Ordinance #12,759 and thereby annexed to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas that particular property; and
WHEREAS, thereafter it was discovered that a mistake had been
made in a description of those lands to be annexed and a Petition
was thereafter filed with the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas seeking a correction of that Court's Order as that
Order related to the land described and that said Court did
on April 6, 1973 enter its Order correcting the description of
the lands to be annexed to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, the area hereinafter particularly described in Section
1 hereof is contiguous to and adjoins the existing City Limits
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and proceedings prerequisite
to the annexation of that said area have been conducted as
required by law; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable that the said area as hereinafter
particularly described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the following described territory in Pulaski
County, Arkansas, to -wit:
SECTION "G ", TWIN LAKES SUBDIVISION, PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS.
AND -
All of that part of the SE4 of Section 10, Township 1
North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, lying
North of Section "G ", TWIN LAKES SUBDIVISION.
be, and the same is accepted and annexed to and is hereby made
a part of the incorporated area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2.
It is hereby ascertained and declared that the
lands above described and hereby annexed are being devoted strict-
ly to urban uses; that there are valuable improvements made there-
on, and that said lands have been platted and developed in accord-
ance with the Ordinance and regulations of the City of Little
Rock, and that in order to secure the benefits to be derived from
compliance with the Ordinances and regulations of the City con-
cerning development of the above described land, it is necessary
that the said lands be immediately annexed. It is, therefore,
declared that an emergency exists, and this Ordinance being nec-
essary for the preservation of the public peacq, health and safety
of the area shall be in full force and take effect immediately
on and after its passage.
