ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING CERTAIN
STREETS AND ALLEYS IN ROSE CITY ADDITION TO THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF
SAID ADDITION DATED DECEMBER 7, 1908, AND RECORDED
IN PLAT BOOK 1, AT PAGE 92, IN THE OFFICE OF THE
RECORDER OF PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, on December 70 1908, there was duly executed and
recorded in Plat Book 1, at Page 92, in the office of the Record-
er of Pulaski County, Arkansas# a Plat and Bill of Assurance to
Rose City Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, which
included a dedication to the public of the streets and alleys
shown upon said plat; and
WHEREAS, the streets and alleys as shown on the plat of
Rose City Addition have not been accepted and confirmed by any
Ordinance of the City of Little Rock nor are any public utilities
installed therein; and
WHEREAS, the streets and alleys hereinafter described have
not been opened nor improved nor used by the public at any time
since the filing of the aforesaid Plat and are not required for
corporate purposes and the use of such streets and alleys as
are hereinafter closed has become impossible and impracticable;
and
WHEREAS, the streets and alleys within that portion of
Rose City Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as
hereinafter described, are not needed for corporate purposes and
are embraced entirely within a proposed Subdivision to the City
of Little Rock to be known as Leawood Mountain, an Addition to
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the Bill of Assurance and
Plat of such new Subdivision will effectively dedicate for public
use the necessary streets and utility easements to serve the pub-
lic and the property to be platted as such Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the closing of the streets and alleys in the area

hereinafter described will provide for the more orderly growth
and development of the City of Little Rock and permit the devel-
opment of said area in accordance with the existing Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock and the Rules and Regulations of the
Planning Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to all of the streets and
alleys in that part of Blocks 1, 20 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 12 of
Rose City Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, accord-
ing to a Bill of Assurance and Plat of said Addition dated
December 70 1908, and recorded in Plat Book 1, at Page 92, in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, lying within
the following described portion of said Rose City Addition, to -wits
Beginning at the Northeast corner of the NWT of
Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13 West
(which is also the Northeast corner of Rose City
Addition according to Plat thereof in Plat Book 1,
Page 92, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas); thence South 00 29' East 275.01;
South 890 31' West 47.16'; thence South 20 30' West
140.71; thence South 670 18' West 300.0'; thence
North 610 12' West 146.81; thence North 00 28' 53"
West 97.11; thence North 790 09' 02" West 528.731;
thence South 120 14' East 61.391; thence South
310 51' 35" East 171.0'; thence South 650 35' 38"
West 501; thence South 730 35' 38" West 139.8';
thence South 390 17' 38" West 192.21; thence South
300 25' 50" West 202.1'; thence South 400 41' 09"
West to the West line of the NEI% NWT of said Section
35 (which is also the West line of said Rose City
Addition); thence North to the Northwest corner of
the NEB NWT of said Section 35 (which is also the
Northwest corner of said Rose City Addition); thence
East along the North line of the said NEB of the Ni4
(which is also the North line of Prospect Avenue
according to said plat) to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2. That the title to the area embraced within
the streets and alleys hereby vacated and abandoned in that

portion of Rose City Addition to the City of Little Rock, Ark-
ansas, as above more particularly described, be vested in the
owners of the property adjacent thereto and contiguous with
said abandoned streets and alleys, free from any public objects
or purposes and particularly from any public easement for use as
a street or alley.
SECTION 3. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of the County.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after its passage.
