ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 159 OF
JOHN BARROWS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition way duly filed with the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkans as, on the 21st day of 1February ,1973
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of the alley in
Block 159 JOHN BARROW'S ADDITION to the City of Little dock, Arkansas,
as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in
Plat Book 1 page 55, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said alley; and
'Y,IHEREAS, after due notice as recuired by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that
the alley, as herein described; has not been actually used by the
public generally for a period of at least five (5) years subseeuent to
the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property abutting
upon the all -y to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such
alley;
N07,, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkans as, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the alley-designated as follows:
All of the North and South alley traversing through
Block 159 JOHN BARROWIS ADDITION to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas. Said Block lying East of John Barrow Road;
South of West 42nd Street; West of Longcoy Street; and
North of 43rd Street, in the City of Little Rock, Ark., and
said alley being bounded on the `Jest by Lots 7 to 12 and
on the East by Lots 1 to 6 both inclusive of said Block 159
JOHN BARROWS ADDITION to the City of Little Rock, :rkansas.
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County
and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
