AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
NEGOTIATE WITH AND ARRANGE FOR THE UNITED
STATES BUREAU OF CENSUS TO TAKE A SPECIAL
CENSUS IN THE RECENTLY ANNEXED AREA TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; APPROPRIATING $12,000.00
FROM FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING FUNDS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate and contract with the United States Bureau of
Census to conduct and report a census of the approximate 55
square miles annexed to the City of Little Rock pursuant to
authority of Ordinance #12,763 passed April 3, 1973.
SECTION 2. The sum of $12,000.00 is hereby appropriated
from Federal Revenue Sharing funds to be used for the purpose
of paying the cost of the census authorized in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
