HomeMy WebLinkAbout12790ORDINANCE NO. 12,790 AN ORDINANCE VACATING, CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF BASELINE ROAD LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH LINE OF LOT 5, VINSON'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, it is found and determined that a ten foot strip of land dedicated as right -of -way for Baseline Road lying adja- cent to the South line of Lot 5, Vinson's Addition to the City is not now needed for right -of -way purposes and that the closing and abandonment of said strip of land as a right -of -way will not adversely affect the public. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock acting under its authority and power including those set forth in Section 19- 2304, Arkansas Statutes, 1947 annotated, hereby vacates and abandons a ten foot strip of land within the right -of -way for Baseline Road lying adjacent to the South line of Lot 5, Vinson's Addition to the City of Little Rock as recorded in Pulaski County Plat Book 11, page 28, on August 1, 1962 and more par- ticularly described as follows: Commencing at the SE corner of Section 35, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, which point lies on the centerline of Baseline and Chicot Roads; thence N 00 23' E, 40.0' to a point; thence West, 40' from and parallel to the center- line of Baseline Road a distance of 564.0' to the point of beginning; thence N 00 23'E a distance of 10'; thence W a distance of 289.7'; thence S 480 09' E a distance of 15.1' along the southeasterly right -of -way line of the MoPac Railroad; thence E a distance of 300.7' to the point of beginning, containing 2,952 sq. ft., more or less. SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of said County. SECTION 3.
