ORDINANCE NO. 12,794
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT TO
REMODEL AND REHABILITATE THE DENHAM
BUILDING; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the remodeling
and rehabilitation of the Denham Building owned by the City
of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid has
been received and determined and it is the desire of the Board
of Directors to authorize a contract for said remodeling and
rehabilitation, from the lowest responsible and responsive
bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid for
the remodeling and rehabilitation of the Denham Building owned
by the City of Little Rock has been accepted and a contract is
awarded to Beggs Construction Company of Little Rock for a
contract price of $45,549.00.
SECTION 2. The sum of $31,000.00 is hereby appropriated
from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to be used
together with funds heretofore appropriated in the 1973 Budget
for the payment of construction costs and the architect's fee
for plans and specifications.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the work from time to time
as may be appropriate, complying in all respects with bidding
specifications, the City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the contract price.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
