AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STREET IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 634 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of a majority
in value of the real property located within the territory herein-
after described have filed a petition praying that an improvement
district be established for the purpose hereinafter set out, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all
parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained that said
petition was signed by a majority in value of the real property
within said territory, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property in the City of Little Rock,
County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
Beginning at the NW corner of the SWh SW4, Section 6, Town-
ship 1 North, Range 12 West; thence run South 87 degrees 57
minutes 37 seconds East for a distance of 40 feet; thence
run South 02 degrees 21 minutes 08 seconds West for a distance
of 511.33 feet to the intersection of the Easterly right -of-
way line of University Avenue and the Southerly right -of -way
line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway and the point of beginning;
thence run North 08 degrees 38 minutes 14 seconds East along
said Southerly right -of -way line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway
for a distance of 280.32 feet; thence run North 58 degrees
58 minutes 14 seconds East along said Southerly right -of -way
line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway for a distance of 64.75 feet;
thence run South 88 degrees 30 minutes 46 seconds East along
said Southerly right -of -way line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway for
a distance of 98.08 feet; thence run North 89 degrees 11 minutes
14 seconds East along said Southerly right -of -way line of Wilbur
D. Mills Freeway for a distance of 85.00 feet; thence run
North 80 degrees 11 minutes 14 seconds East along said Southerly
right -of -way line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway for a distance of
177.08 feet; thence run North 85 degrees 32 minutes 46 seconds
East along said Southerly right -of -way line of Wilbur D. Mills
Freeway for a distance of 777.90 feet; thence run South 88 de-
grees 09 minutes 09 seconds East along said Southerly right -of-
way line of Wilbur D. Mills Freeway for a distance of 182.17
feet; thence run North 75 degrees 58 minutes 59 seconds East
along said Southerly right -of -way line of Wilbur D. Mills Free-
way for a distance of 23.4 feet to a point on the East line
of the SW4, SWh, Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
said point being South 1 degree 28 minutes West 56.9 feet from
the NE corner of said SWJ, SWjC, Section 6, Township 1 North,
Range 12 West; thence run South along the East line of the
SW4, SWh, Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West to a point
19 feet West of the Northwest corner of Block 5, Perry Heights
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence run
East for a distance of 19 feet to the Northwest corner of
Block 5, Perry Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; thence run East along the North line of Blocks
5 and 6, Perry Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, for a distance of 624.00 feet to the Northeast
corner of Block 6, Perry Heights Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, said point being on the West right -of-
way line of Fair Park Boulevard; thence run South along the
West right -of -way line of Fair Park Boulevard for a distance
of 610.8 feet= thence run West along the North right -of -way
line of West Eleventh Street to a point which is 7.6 feet
North of the Southeast corner of Lot 1,John B. May Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence run South for a
distance of 7.6 feet to the Southeast corner of said lot 1,
John B. May Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence run West to the Southwest corner of said Lot 1,
John B. May Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence run West for a distance of 11.15 feet to the center
of Filmore Street; thence run South along the centerline
of Filmore Street for a distance of 141.00 feet to the North-
east corner of the Treadway Subdivision of the City of Little
Roc$, Arkansas; thence run North 89 degrees 02 minutes West
along the North line of said Treadway Subdivision of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, for a distance of 240.15 feet; thence
run South 07 degrees 39 minutes West along the Westerly line
of the Treadway Subdivision of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
for a distance of 187 feet to a point 30 feet North and 251.2
feet West of the SE corner of the SW4, SW4, Section 6, Township
1 North, Range 12 West, said point being on the North right -of-
way line of West 12th Street; thence run West along the North
right -of -way line of West 12th Street for a distance of 160 feet;
thence run North 1 degree 11 minutes East for a distance 330.73
feet to a point 300 feet South of the North line of the S'h, SWh,
SW's{, Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West; thence run
West along a line 300 feet South and parallel with the North
line of the Sh, SW4, SW4, Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12
West, for a distance of 335.7 feet to a point on the West line
of the SEh, SW4, SWh, Section 6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West;
thence run South on the West line SE4, STS, SW4, Section 6,
Township 1 North, Range 12 West, for a distance of 330 feet to
the North right -of -way line of West 12th Street; thence run
West along the North right -of -way line of West 12th Street for
a distance of 277.1 feet to the SE corner of Lot 5, University
Commercial Subdivision of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence run North along the East line of Lot 5, University Com-
mercial Subdivision of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for a
distance of 200 feet to the NE corner of said Lot 5, University
Commercial Subdivision of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence run North 89 degrees 44 minutes West for a distance of
125.9 feet; thence run North for a distance of 279.40 feet to

the Northeast corner of Lot 3, University Commercial Sub-
division of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence run
North 88 degrees 53 minutes West for a distance of 259 feet
to the SW corner of Lot 1, University Commercial Subdivision
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, said point being on the
East right -of -way line of University Avenue; thence run North
along the East right -of -way line of University Avenue for a
distance of 150.00 feet to the NW corner of Lot 1, University
Commercial Subdivision of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence run North 87 degrees 58 minutes 27 seconds West for
a distance of 10.00 feet; thence run North 02 degrees 14
minutes 19 seconds East along the East right -of -way line of
University Avenue for a distance of 148.49 feet to the point
of beginning.
for the following purposes:
To name, open, grade, drain, construct bridges and culverts
where necessary, curb, gutter and pave the following part of
West 10th Street, in the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and des-
cribed as follows:
A street from the West line of Fair Park Boulevard to the
East line of University Avenue, located approximately along
or near the South line of the N'h of the S&I of the SWh, Section
6, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, and to include the dedicated
rights -of -way for West 10th Street and other streets along
said line and within the proposed right -of -way for said street;
To construct a water distribution system to serve the inhabi-
tants of the district and, if necessary, extend the same beyond
the district boundary to connect with the system of Little Rock,
Arkansas;
To construct a sanitary sewer collection system to serve the
inhabitants of the district and, if necessary, to extend the same
beyond the district boundary to connect with the system of Little Rock,
Arkansas;
To construct and install an-electric' power distribution systen
and a street lighting system within the boundaries of the district;
and
To construct sidewalks within the boundaries of the district;
To acquire by gift, purchase, or the exercise of its right of
eminent domain by condemnation the necessary lands for rights -of -way

and easements to accomplish the improvements as hereinabove described.
All of said improvements are to be accomplished in such manner and
with such materials as the commissioners of said improvement district
shall deem to be for the best interest of said district, and said
commissioners may enter into contracts for water supply and sewage
disposal and for the operation and maintenance -of'the water and
sewer systems constructed by the district and its street lighting
system, and that the cost thereof be assessed and charged upon the
real property above described according to the benefits received.
Said district shall be known as "Street Improvement District
No. 634 of Little Rock, Arkansas," and Lewis S. Rauton, John B.
May, and Elbert L. Fausett, who are owners of real property'.in said
district, are hereby named commissioners and shall compose the Board
of Improvement for said district.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
