AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING MABELVALE-
ALEXANDER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 142 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be a majority in value or more
in assessed value of real property located within the territory
hereinafter described have filed petitions praying that an improve-
ment district be established for the purposes hereinafter set
out, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas has heard
all the parties desiring to be heard, and has ascertained
that said petitions were signed by a majority in value or more
in assessed value or the owners of real property within said
territory, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. There is hereby established an improvement
district embracing the following property in the City of
Little Rock, County of Pulaski, State of Arkansas, to -wit:
The SE 1/4 of Section 32 and all of Sections 33
and 34, excepting the W 1/2 of NW 1/4 Section 33
and S 1/2 of SE 1/4 Section 34, Township 1 North,
Range 13 West, Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
16, 17, and the N 1/2 of Section 18, and the West 1/2
of the West 1/2 of Section 15, excepting the E 1/2 of
SE 1/4 Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 13 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section Three
(3), Township One South (T -1 -S), Range Thirteen
West (R- 13 -W), for a point of beginning, thence
Southerly along the East line of Sections Three (3)
and Ten (10), Township One South (T -1 -S), Range
Thirteen West (R- 13 -W), to the Southeast corner
of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of said Section Ten
(10), thence Westerly along the South line ofthe
Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of said Section Ten (10)
to the Southwest corner of the Southeast Quarter
(SE 1/4) of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of said
Section Ten (10), thence Southerly along the East
line of the West One -Half (W 1/2) of the Southeast
Quarter (SE 1/4) of said Section Ten (10) to the
Southeast corner of the West One -Half (W 1/2) of
the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of said Section Ten
(10), thence Westerly along the South line of Section
Ten (10) to the Southwest corner of the Southeast
Quarter (SE 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of said Section Ten (10), thence Southerly along
the East line of the West One -Half (W 1/2) of the
West One -Half (W 1/2) of Section Fifteen (15),
Township One South (T -1 -S), Range Thirteen West
(R -13 -W) to the Southeast corner of the Southwest
Quarter (SW 1/4) of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4)
of said Section Fifteen (15), thence Westerly along
the South line of Sections Fifteen (15), Sixteen
(16), and Seventeen (17), said line also being the
County Line between Pulaski and Saline Counties, to
the Southwest corner of Section Seventeen (17),
Township One South (T -1 -S), Range Thirteen West
(R- 13 -W), thence Northerly along the West line
of said Section Seventeen (17) to the Southeast
corner of the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of Section
Eighteen (18), Township One South (T -1 -S), Range
Thirteen West (R- 13 -W), thence Westerly along the
South line of the North One -Half (N 1/2) of said
Section Eighteen (18) to the Southwest corner of
the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said Section
Eighteen (18), thence Northerly along the West line
of Sections Eighteen (18) , Seven (7) , and Six (6) ,
said line again being a part of the County Line,
to the Northwest corner of said Section Six (6),
thence Easterly along the North line of said
Sections Six (6) and Five (5) on the Base Line
between Township One South (T -1 -S) and Township
One North (T -1 -N) to the Southwest corner of the
Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) Section Thirty -two (32),
Township One North (T -1 -N), Range Thirteen West
(R- 13 -W), thence Northerly along the mid - section
line of said Section Thirty -two (32) to the center
of Section Thirty -two (32) said point being the
Northwest corner of Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4),
Section Thirty -two (32), thence Easterly along the
mid - section line of said Sections Thirty -two (32)
and Thirty - three {33) to the Southwest corner of
the East One -Half (E 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW 1/4) of Section Thirty -three (33), Township One
North (T -1 -N), Range Thirteen West (R- 13 -W), thence
Northerly along the West line of said East One -Half
(E 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of said
Section Thirty -three (33) to the Northwest corner
of said East One -Half (E 1/2) of the Northwest Quarter
(NW 1/4) of Section Thirty -three (33), thence
Easterly along the North line of said Sections
Thirty -three (33) and Thirty -four (34) to the
Northeast corner of Section Thirty -four (34),
Township One North (T -1 -N), Range Thirteen West
(R- 13 -W), thence Southerly along the East line of
said Section Thirty -four (34) to the Southeast
corner of the North One -Half (N 1/2) of the
Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) Section Thirty -four
(34), thence Westerly along the South line of said
North One -Half (N 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter
(SE 1/4) Section Thirty -four (34) to the mid - section

line of Section Thirty -four (34), said point being
the Southwest corner of the North One -Half (N 1/2)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) Section Thirty -
four (34), thence Southerly along the mid - section
line of said Section Thirty -four (34) to the Base
Line between Townships One North (T -1 -N) and One
South (T -1 -S), said point being the Southeast
corner of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) Section
Thirty -four (34), thence Easterly along said Base
Line to the Northeast corner of Section Three (3),
Township One South (T -1 -S), Range Thirteen West
(R -13 -W) and the point of beginning.
Less and except the following two parcels of real property:
(1) All that part of Blocks 1, 2 and 16, Town of
Alexander, Arkansas, which lies in the Northwest
Quarter of Section 18, Township 1 South, Range 13 West;
(2) All that part of the NE -1/4 NE -1/4 lying North
of U. S. Highway Nos. 67 and 70, and all that part of
the NW -1/4 NE -1/4 lying North of U.S. Highway Nos.
67 and 70, all in Section 3, Township 1 South, Range
13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas. All of the
SE -1/4 of Section 34 lying East of the Mabelvale
Road and North of U.S. Highways Nos. 67 and 70.
for the purposes of constructing within the District a sanitary
sewer collection system to serve the inhabitants of said
District and constructing a sanitary sewer line beyond the
boundaries of the said sewer District, if necessary, to make
the desired connection with the sanitary sewer system of Little
Rock, Arkansas; said purposes to be accomplished in the manner
and of the materials that the commissioners of the District
shall deem to be in the best interest of the District, and
the cost thereof to be assessed upon the real property above
described according to the benefits received.
Said District shall be known as " Mabelvale- Alexander
Sewer Improvement District No. 142 of Little Rock, Arkansas ";
and Raymond Brown, Charles Holmes and Luke Quinn, who are
owners of real property in said District, are hereby named
commissioners and shall compose the Board of Improvement
for said District.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
