AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO NORTH
SIDE EXCAVATION COMPANY, INC. FOR CLEARING
AND EXCAVATION WORK TO THE ROCK CREEK
CHANNEL; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for clearing and
excavation work in the Rock Creek Channel; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder
nas been determined and it is the desire of the Board of
Directors to authorize said clearing and excavation work to
the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on
clearing and excavation work in the Rock Creek Channel has been
determined and a contract is hereby awarded to North Side
Excavation Company, Inc. at a contract price of $12,290.00.
SECTION 2. The sum of $13,000.00 is hereby appropriated
from General FEderal Revenue Sharing Funds to pay the cost of
the contract herein provided and to initiate other related
improvements in said park.
SECTION 3. Upon completion of the work above described,
complying in all particulars with bidding specifications, the
City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized
to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said
contract price.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
