AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 100
FOOT AERIAL LADDER; APPROPRIATING FUNDS;
WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AUTHORIZING PAY-
MENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The purchase of one 100 foot aerial ladder is
hereby authorized from American LaFrance Company. For the
reason that American LaFrance Company is the only source of
supply for these particular type ladders, competitive bidding
is hereby waived.
SECTION 2. The sum of $12,500.00 is hereby appropriated
from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to defray
the cost of purchasing the aerial ladder identified in Section 1
hereof.
SECTION 3. Upon receipt of the aerial ladder identified
in Section 1 hereof, complying in all respects with specifications
of the Little Rock Fire Department, the City Manager and Director
of Finance are hereby authorized to issue the necessary warrant
in payment of said purchase price.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
