AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 28 -2, 28 -3, 28 -4, AND
28 -5 OF THE CODE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, SAME BEING SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 28 DEALING WITH
PEDDLERS, SOLICITORS AND CANVASSERS: AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 28 -2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 28 -2. Non - Profit Solicitors - Permit Required.
Hereafter all persons soliciting donations on the streets of
the city for charitable, religious or other bonafide non - profit
purposes shall secure a permit from the City of Little Rock
O before further doing any such soliciting."

W SECTION 2. Section 28 -3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of

Little Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
,U) "Sec. 28 -3. Same - Application for permit.

tn as herein provided, he or they shall submit in writing to the City
N of Little Rock, an application giving the name and headquarters
address of the organization they represent and solicit for, the
' names and addresses of any and all solicitors and any and all other
information which may be required by the City of Little Rock."

SECTION 3. Section 28 -4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of

pLittle Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 28 -4. Same - Issuance of Permit.
The City Manager is hereby empowered to administer the provisions
of this ordinance and promulgate regulations governing the
procedure for application and issuance of permits as herein
provided."
SECTION 4. Section 28 -5 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Little Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 28 -5. Same - Violations; penalty.
Any person violating the terms and provisions of sections 28 -2
and 28 -3 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convic-
tion in the municipal court, shall be fined in any sum not less
than five nor more than twenty -five dollars."
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
