AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PREPARE AND FILE APPLICATION WITH THE HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR FUNDS FOR THE COM-
PREHENSIVE PLANNING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM OF THE
CITY AUTHORIZED BY SECTION 701 OF THE FEDERAL
HOUSING ACT OF 1954, AS AMENDED; APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF $26,300.00 AS THE LOCAL SHARE IN
SAID GRANT APPLICATION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to prepare and file with the United States Department
of Housing and Urban Development an application for grant funds
in the amount of $45,900.00 for Comprehensive Planning Assis-
tance Program in the City of Little Rock all as authorized by
Section 701 of the Federal Housing Act of 1954, as amended.
Further, the local share of this grant contract in the amount
of $26,300.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated
balance of the General Fund to be used together with the grant
funds for the purposes herein stated.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
