ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE STREET IN BLOCKS 5 AND
6, DUNCAN'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 1st day of March ,
19 74 , asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon all of the
street in Blocks 5 and 6, Duncan's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in
Plat Book No. 1, Page 178, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said
street; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the street, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated
to the public use as a street, as herein described; has not been act-
ually used by the public generally for a period of at least five (5)
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners
of the property abutting upon the street to be vacated have filed
with the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandonment;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the street designated as follows:
That portion of a unnamed street that runs along the South
line of Blocks 5 and 6, of the Duncan's Addition, said street having
a 30 foot right -of -way, and being on the North side of a line that is
the South boundary of the unnamed street and Blocks 5 and 6 of
Duncan's Addition, said line and boundary commencing at the North-
west corner of the Southwest quarter of the Southwest quarter of
Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13, West, thence South 870
30' East along the South boundary line of Blocks 5 and 6 of Duncan's
Addition 641.90 feet; More particularly described as follows;
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter
of the Southwest quarter, Section 35, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, thence South 870 30' East along the South line of Duncan's
Addition and the North line of said Southwest quarter of the South-
west quarter of Section 35, 641.90 feet, thence North 20 08' 37"
East, 30 feet to the North boundary of the unnamed street and the
Southeast corner of Block 6, thence North 870 30' West along the
North boundary of the unnamed street 641.90 feet, thence South
20 17' 37" West to a point on the South line of Duncan's Addition

and the North line of the said Southwest quarter of the Southwest
quarter of Section 35, said point being the point of beginning.
Subject, however, to any public utility easements located in
said street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
