AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20 -1 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO THE BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE LITTLE ROCK PUBLIC
LIBRARY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 20 -1 of the Code of Ordinances per-
taining to the Board of Trustees of the Little Rock Public
Library is hereby amended to read as follows:
"There is hereby created a library board of trustees of
seven (7) members who shall be appointed by city manager
with approval of the board of directors. Terms of all
trustees shall be for six years. The board shall elect
one of its members as president, and may elect such other
officers as it deems necessary. The board shall meet at
such times and places as may be provided in the by -laws to
be adopted by the board. Trustees shall receive no com-
pensation. Before entering upon the duties of their office,
they shall make oath before some judicial officer to dis-
charge the duties enjoined on them."
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
