ORDINANCE NO. 12860
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARTS OF SECTION 1, OF ORDINANCE
NO. 12,625, APPROVED MARCH 29, 1972, AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 12819, APPROVED JUNE 17, 1973, FIXING
RATES FOR SERVICES RENDERED BY THE SANITARY SEWER
SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas:
Section 1. That Section 1, paragraph (e), of Ordinance
No. 12,625 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, approved March
29, 1972, as amended by Ordinance No. 12819, approved June 17,
1973, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(e) The following rates shall be applied to the monthly
water consumption of each customer, as above determined, to arrive
at the monthly charge for each customer:
(1) For the

cubic feet,or portion thereof, with there
minimum monthly charge of $1.36.
next 30,000 cubic feet of water used - 301�

cubic feet, or portion thereof.
(4) For all in excess 123,300 cubic feet of water used -
84 per 100 cubic feet, or portion thereof."
Section 2. That all Resolutions and Ordinances, and parts
thereof in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3.
That the provisions of this Ordinance are
separable, and if a section, provision or phase shall be declared
invalid, it shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this
Ordinance.
Section 4. That it is hereby ascertained and declared that
the provisions of this Ordinance are necessary in order to remove
a hazard to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City and can be obtained only by establishing the sewer charges
fixed in this Ordinance. It is, therefore, declared that an emergency

exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public peace, health and safety shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
