ORDINANCE NO. 12,855
AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE
PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING AND IMPROVING A PORT AND BARGE TERMINAL
FACILITY; AND DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING CON-
DEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. The parcels of real property, described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, are hereby con-
demned for the purposes of constructing port, harbor, river -rail and
barge terminal facilities, and the City Attorney is hereby ordered and
directed to file in the proper courts condemnation proceedings against
the parcels of real property, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto,
.situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas.
The properties described in Exhibit "A" are necessary for the
purpose of creating, constructing, improving and developing port,
harbor, river -rail and barge terminal facilities.
SECTION II. The City Attorney is further authorized to secure an
Order of the Court allowing the City to take immediate possession of
the properties hereinabove described upon the posting of a bond in an
amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is authorized
to have posted on behalf of the City a bond in an amount to be determined
by the Court pending final determination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION III. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.

A parcel of land situated in Fractional Sections 14, 15, and 23, Township 1 North,
Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Southwest corner of the SE -1/4, Fractional Section 15; thence
Northerly along the West line of said SE -1/4, Fractional Section 15, 1,803.12 feet to the point
of beginning, said point being on the center line of Foc.rche Bayou; thence deflect -330 39' richt
2,356 feet to the Ordinary High Water Line of the Arkansas River; thence Southeasterly along
the said Ordinary High Water Line of the Arkansas River to a point; said point being the
intersection of the Ordinary High Water Line and the West line of the NW -1/4, Fractional
Section 14; thence Southerly along the said West line of the NW 1/4, Fractional Section 14
200.0 feet to a point; thence Southeasterly along the Arc of a curve to the right having a
radius of 6,403.14 feet to a point; said point being 3,800.90 feet East and 434.33 feet South of the
Northwest corner of said Fractional Section 23; thence Northwesterly along a line 1,610.0 feet
to a point; said point being 2,242.24 feet East and 31.0 feet South of said Northwest corner of
Fractional Section 23; thence Westerly along a line 385.0 feet to a point, said point being 1,857.24
feet East and 31.0 feet South of said Northwest corner of Fractional Section 23; thence Northerly
31.0 feet to a point; said point being on the South line of Fractional Section 14 and 1,857.24
feet East of the Southwest corner of said Fractional Section 14; thence Westerly along the South
line of Fractional Sections 14, and 15 to the center line of Fourche Bayou; thence Northwesterly
along the.center line of Fourche Bayou to the Point of Beginning. Said parcel contains 319
acres, more or less.
EXHIBIT "A"
