AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ASSIGNING SAME TO
WARDS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter described lands, praying
that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of May, 1973, the County Court of
Pulaski County, Aransas, found that the petition was signed by Robert
Chowning, as duly authorized agent for owner of a majority of all of said
lands; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate plat or map of
said lands had been filed with and made a part of said petition; that proper
notice had been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law,
and that all things pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed
by law, and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same by the Board of
Directors of said City at the proper time as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order
of annexation made by the County Court has expired and no appeal has been
taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands contiguous and
adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same are hereby
accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock:

Lot 'A', Lot 'E', and part of Lot 'B -R', Southwest City Commercial Subdivision,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as: Beginning at a
point on the present City Limits line (said point being the Northeast corner
of Lot 'D', said Subdivision); thence N82 °52'E along the North line of said
Lot 'B -R', along the North line of said Lot 'E' and the North line of said
Lot 'B -R', 299.57 ft.; thence N84 °24'E and continuing along the North line of
said Lot 'B -R' 442.79 ft. to the Northwest corner of Lot 'C -R', said Subdivision;
thence SO °55'W along the West line of said Lot 'C -R', 196.11 ft. to the Sough.: -rCst
corner thereof; thence Easterly along the South line of said Lot 'C -R', the
following bearings and distances:(N84 °24'E, 434.5 ft.; S0 °55'W, 9.67 ft.; \W
24'E, 134.77 ft.; SO °34'W, 34.65 ft.; S89 °26'E, 92.0 ft.) to the Southeast cone r
of said Lot 'C -R' (said corner being the Northeast corner of said Lot 'B -R');
thence SO °34'W along the East line of said Lot 'B -R', 118.31 ft.; thence SO °55'W
and continuing along said East line o Lot 'B -R', 419.4 ft. to the Southeast
corner thereof; thence S77 °40'W along the South line of said Lot 'B -R', 133.4 ft.;
thence S69 °26'W and continuing along said South line, 304.0 ft.; thence South
and continuing along said South line, 130.0 ft. to a point on the North right -of-
way line of Dreher Lane; thence N89 °03'W along said North right -of -way line,
1131.2 ft. to the Southeast corner of Tract No. 1, said Subdivision, said corner
being on the present City Limits line; thence N0°07'W along the East line of
said Tract No. 1, 116.4 ft. to a point on the present City Limits line; thence
along the said present City Limits line the following bearings and distances:
(S89 °03'E, 493.8 ft.; NO °57'E, 298.4 ft.; S89003'E, 16.0 ft.; NO °57'E, 319.6 ft.;
N89 °03'W, 358.0 ft.; NO °41'W, 150.0 ft.) to the point of beginning.
Section 2. That the above - described lands shall be annexed to
and made a part of Ward No. 4 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the
same shall henceforth be a part of said Ward as fully as existing parts of
said Ward.
