AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND ASSIGNING SAME TO
WARDS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter described lands, praying
that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on the 30th day of J une , 1975, the County Court of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was signed by Robert
Chowning, as duly authorized agent for owner of a majority of all of said
lands; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate
limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate plat or map of
said lands had been filed with and made a part of said petition; that proper
notice had been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law,
and that all things pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed
by law, and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same by the Board of
Directors of said City at the proper time as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order
of annexation made by the County Court has expired and no appeal has been
taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands contiguous and
adjoining the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same are hereby
accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock:
A tract of land located in the S 1/2 of Sec. 29 and in the N 1/2
Sec. 32, all in T -2 -N, R -13 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas more
particularly described as: Beginning at the Northwest corner of

the NW 1/4 NE 1/4 said Sec. 32; thence Northerly 20 ft. to a
point; thence Easterly along a line 20 ft. North of the South line
of said Sec. 29 to a point 20 ft. North of the Northeast corner of
said W 1/2 NE 1/4 NE 1/4; thence Southerly 20 ft. to said North-
east corner of the W 1/2 NE 1/4 NE 1/4; thence Southerly along the
East line of said W 1/2 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 to the Southeast corner
thereof; thence Westerly along the South line of said W 1/2 NE 1/4
NE 1/4 to the Southwest corner thereof, said corner also being
the Northeast corner of the SW 1/4 NE 1/4 said Sec. 32; thence
Southerly along the East line of said SW 1/4 NE 1/4 to the South-
east corner thereof; thence Westerly along the South line of said
SW 1/4 NE 1/4 to the Southwest corner thereof, said corner also
being the Southeast corner of the S 1/2 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 said Sec. 32;
thence Westerly along the South line of said S 1/2 SE 1/4 NW 1/4
to the Southwest corner thereof; thence Northerly along the West
line of said S 1/2 SE 1/4 NW 1/4 to the Northwest corner thereof;
thence Easterly along the North line of said S 1/2 SE 1/4 NW 1/4
to the Northeast corner thereof, said corner being on the West
line of the SW 1/4 NE 1/4 said Sec. 32; thence Northerly along the
West line of said SW 1/4 NE 1/4 and the West line of the NW 1/4
NE 1/4 said Sec. 32 to the Northwest corner of said NW 1/4 NE 1/4
and the point of beginning, containing 120 acres more or less.
Section 2. That the above - described lands shall be annexed to
and made a part of Ward No. 5 of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and the
same shall henceforth be a part of said Ward as fully as existing parts of
said Ward.
