AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO PROVIDE A SEC-
TION 10 -21.1 PERTAINING TO THE AUTHORITY OF THE
BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF OAKLAND - FRATERNAL
CEMETERIES TO LEVY MAINTENANCE CHARGES AT
FRATERNAL CEMETERY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Little
Rock is hereby amended to provide a new Section 10 -21.1 per-
taining to maintenance charges for Fraternal Cemetery which
shall be in words and substance as follows:
Section 10 -21.1. Maintenance charges.
The Board of Commissioners of Oakland- Fraternal Cemeteries
is hereby authorized to charge the owners of each lot in
Fraternal Cemetery not provided with perpetual care an
annual fee not to exceed the following:
a) $2.50 for a single grave site
b) $5.00 for two grave sites
c) $10.00 for four grave sites
Fees so accrued under the provisions of this Section shall
be used for the upkeep and improvement of all lots in the
surrounding area of such lots which are not provided with
perpetual or annual care.
If hereafter, some provision is made for forfeiture of lots
of owners for failure to pay said fees, such shall not be
applicable to the owner and /or his heirs of lots who are
unable to be located or notified prior to the effective date
of such forfeiture.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
