AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 13,016 to
PROVIDE FOR THE- PREPAYMENT OF FOUR SHU -PAK VEHICLES
AUTHORIZED FOR PURCHASE THEREIN; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13,016 passed by the Board of Directors
February 18, 1975, authorized the purchase of four 29 cubic yard
side loading garbage trucks from the International- Harvester Com-
pany for a total purchase price of $165,010.36, delivery of which
is not expected until mid - October, payment to be made upon delivery;
and,
WHEREAS, International- Harvester has advised that a price
escalation clause in the said contract to purchase would cause
the price of these said vehicles to be increased by the sum of
$917.00 each after June 30, 1975, and that if payment were made
before the date of June 30, 1975, the City could save the sum of
$3,668.00 on the purchase price.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 13,016 passed by the Board of
Directors February 18, 1975, is hereby amended to provide for
payment of the said vehicles before June 30, 1975, rather than
upon delivery.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
