ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS ABANDONING AND CLOSING THAT
PORTION OF VANCE STREET LOCATED BETWEEN EAST 15th
STREET AND EAST 17th STREET, AND ALSO THAT PORTION OF
EAST 16th STREET LOCATED BETWEEN BRAGG STREET AND
McALMONT STREET, ALL IN BRAGG'S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND ALSO THE NORTH -
SOUTH ALLEYS LOCATED IN BLOCKS 8, 9 and 10, BRAGG'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND
ALSO THE EAST -WEST ALLEY LOCATED IN TENON AND
EDWARDS SUBDIVISION OF BLOCK 11 OF BRAGG'S ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 7th day of April, 1975, and
an Amendment to Petition filed on the 19th day of May, 1975, asking
the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon that portion of Vance Street
located between East 15th Street and East 17th Street, and also that portion
of East 16th Street located between Bragg Street and McAlmont Street, all
in Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and also the
North -South alleys located in Blocks 8, 9 and 10, Bragg's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and also the East -West alley located in
Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, as described below; and
WHEREAS, after due notice, the Board of Directors has, at the time
and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard
on the question and has ascertained that all of the owners of property
abutting upon that portion of said streets and alleys to be vacated, abandoned
and closed have filed with the Board of Directors written consent of such
vacation, abandonment and closing; that said portion of said streets and
alleys as described below is no longer needed or required for corporate
purposes or for use by the general public or by adjoining owners; and
accordingly the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of the portion of said streets and alleys described below;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section I. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public
generally, in and to that portion of Vance Street located between East 15th
Street and East 17th Street, and also that portion of East 16th Street located
between Bragg Street and McAlmont Street, all in Bragg's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, and also the North -South alleys located in
Blocks 8, 9 and 10, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
and also the East -West alley located in Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of
Block 11 of Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; said streets
and alleys described as follows:
Vance Street:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block 10,
Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock; run
thence North atong the East right of way line of
Vance Street to the Northwest corner of Block 9,
Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence West to the Northeast corner of Block 8,
Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
thence South along the West right of way line of
Vance Street to the Southeast corner of Lenon and
Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's Addi-
tion to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence
East to the point of beginning.
16th Street:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block 8, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence
East along the North right of way line of East 16th
Street to the Southeast corner of Block 9, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence
South to the Northeast corner of Block 10, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock,Arkansas; thence
West along the South right of way line of East 16th
Street to the Northwest corner of Lenon and Edward's
Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence North to the point of

I . Alley within Block 8:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of I.ot 6, Block 8, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock; run thence North along
the West right of way line of the alley within Block 8, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the North-
east corner of Lot 1, Block 8, Bragg's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence East to the Northwest corner
of Lot 12, Block 8, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; run thence South along the East right of way line of
the alley located within Block 8, Bragg's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the Southwest corner of Lot 7,
Block 8, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
run thence West to the point of beginning.
2. Alley within Block 9:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 9, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock; run thence North along
the West right of way line of the alley within Block 9, Bragg's
lddition to die City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the North-
east corner of Lot 1 , Block 9, Bragg's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence East to the Northwest corner
of Lot 12, Block 9, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; run thence South along the East right of way tine of
the alley located within Block 9, Bragg's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the Southwest corner of Lot 7,
Block 9, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
run thence West to the point of beginning.
3. Alley within Block 10:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 6, Block 10, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock; run thence North along
the West right of way line of the alley within Block 10, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the Northeast
corner of Lot 1 , Block 10 , Bragg's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; run thence East to the Northwest corner of Lot
12, Block 10, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
run thence South along the East right of way line of the alley located
within Block 10, Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, to the Southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 10, Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence West
to the point of beginning.
4. Alley within Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block
11 of Bragg's Addition:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 11, Lenon and
Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence South to the Northwest corner
of Lot 7, Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence Ep st
along the South right of way line of the alley located within
Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arka nsa s , to the Northea s t corner of
Lot 12, Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of Bragg's
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence North

of Block 11 of Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
run thence West along the North right of way line of the alley
located within Lenon and Edwards Subdivision of Block 11 of
Bragg's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to the
point of beginning,
subject, however, to any public utility easements located therein.
Section 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
