AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING 50% OF THE FUNDS RECEIVED
FROM ACT 9 INDUSTRIES TO CERTAIN TAXING ENTITIES
DURING THE YEAR 1974; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Act 9 of the General Assembly of the
State of Arkansas dated January 21, 1960, the City of Little Rock receives
certain monies from a number of industries as payment to the City in
lieu of taxes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has agreed that 50% of these said
monies to be collected during the year 1974 would be given to certain
other taxing entities.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Upon receipt of the 1974 payment of Act 9 funds from the
Industries listed below, the City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to transfer $41,282.00 to the Pulaski
County School District.
Jacuzzi
A. 0. Smith
Strickland Transportation
Armstrong Rubber Company
Eastern Associated Terminals
Merico Company
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
