HomeMy WebLinkAbout12980ORDINANCE NO 12,980 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO PROVIDE A SIX COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEM; APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS; REALLOCATING CERTAIN MODEL CITIES FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby authorizes the request of Central Arkansas Emergency Medical Services Council for funds in the amount of $19,046.00 to support the salaries needed to staff the dispatch center for one year. This service will improve the delivery of emergency medical care in the counties of Pulaski, Faulkner, Saline, Prairie, Lonoke and Monroe. SECTION 2. To provide the City of Little Rock's share in the amount of $19,046.00, the sum of $14,046.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund and the sum of $5,000.00 of Model Cities funds is hereby reallocated and transferred from the Fourth Year Day Care Project to the Fifth Year East Little Rock Community Complex Clinic Project. SECTION 3. Following the passage of this ordinance the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized to proceed with formally transferring and paying over the funds hereinabove provided to the Central Arkansas Emergency Medical Services Council to be used for the purposes herein set forth.
