ORDINANCE NO. 13,205
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SEWER IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 144 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, parties claiming to be the owners of more than a majority
in assessed value of real property located within the territory herein-
after described have filed a petition praying that an improvement dis-
trict be established for the purposes hereinafter set out, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, has heard all the parties desiring
to be heard, and has ascertained that said petition was signed by more
than a majority in assessed value of the owners of real property within
said territory, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas:
SECTION 1. There is hereby established an improvement district
embracing the following property, to -wit;'
Commencing at the Southwest corner of Westwood Avenue and Asher
Avenue (State Highway No. 5), in Little Rock, Arkansas; run thence
northerly to the SW corner of Lot 8, Block 3, Euclid Place, an addi-
tion to the City of Little Rock; thence North to the south right of
way line of 46th Street.; thence East 330 feet ,'.o the center line of
Block 2, Euclid Place; thence North 650 feet to the south right of
way line of 44th Street; thence northerly 50 feet to the southeast
corner of Lot 12, Block 161, John Barrow Addition to the City of
Little Rock; thence North 500 feet along the west right of way
line of a 20 ft. alley to the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block 162,
John Barrow Addition; thence West 330 feet to the southeast corner
of Lot 9, Block 191, John Barrow Addition; thence North 200 feet to
the north right of way line of 42nd Street; thence West 310 feet to
the southwest corner, Lot 1, Block 195, John Barrow Addition; thence
North 150 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 4, Block 195, John
Barrow Addition; thence West 330 feet to the southwest corner, Lot
4, Block 222, John Barrow Addition; thence North 350 feet to the
southwest corner, Lot 4, Block 221, John Barrow Addition; thence
West 130 feet. to the east right of way line of Holt Street; thence
North 200 feet to the southwest corner of Block 220, John Barrow
Addition; thence West 190 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 8,
Block 4, of West Heights Place, an addition to the City of Little
Rock; thence North 660 feet to the north right of way line of West
38th Street; thence West 1,030 feet to the southwest corner of Lot
8, Block 1, of West Heights Addition to City of Little Rock,
Arkansas; thence North 640 feet to the center line of West 36th
Street; thence West 1.30 feet to the west line of the East Ilalf
(E 1/2) East Half (E 1/2), Section 15, Township 1 North, Range
1.3 West; thence South 4,800 feet to the southwest corner of Beasley
Subdivision, City of Little Rock; thence East 820 feet to the west
right of way line of Arkansas State Highwav No. 5; thence south-
westerly along the said right of way line 520 feet to the south
line of the SE 1/4 NE 1/4, Section 22, Township 1 North, Range 13
West; thence East 1,120 feet to the southeast corner SE 1/4 NE 1/4,
Section 22; thence North 1,100 feet to the northwest corner of Lot
8 of Westwood Addition to the City of Little Rock; thence East 630
feet to the southeast corner of Lot 7, Westwood Addition; thence
North 400 feet to the_souCh right of way line of fisher Avenue;
thence easterly along the said right of way line 120 feet to the
inoInt of hrainnlnK.
for the purposes of constructing within the district a sanitary
sewer collection system to serve the inhabitants of said district
and constructing a sewer line beyond the boundaries of the sewer
district, if necessary, to make the desired connection with the
sanitary sewer system of Little Rock, Arkansas; said purposes to
be accomplished in the manner and of the materials that the commis-
sioners of the district shall deem to be in the best interests of
the district, and the cost.thereof to be assessed upon the real
property above described according to the penefit_s received.
Said district shall be known as "Sewer Improvement District No.
of Little Rock, Arkansas," and 0. J. Johnston ,
Robert A. Swaty and Beulah Scott ,
who are owners of real property in said district, are hereby named
commissioners and shall compose the Board of Improvement for said
district.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
