ORDINANCE NO 13,172
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING RENOVATION OF CERTAIN
CITY FACILITIES; APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the need for adequate physical facilities for the
City of Little Rock has become very urgent, but construction of
a new City governmental complex is economically unfeasible at
this time; and
WHEREAS, the critical need could be considerably alleviated
by the renovation of certain existing facilities at a feasible
cost.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock hereby authorizes and approves renovation of the following
City facilities according to such renovation plans as may be
approved by the City Manager:
1. Baird Building:
a. First Floor - LEAA Grant
b. Basement area
2. Material Yard:
a. Traffic Addition
b. Vehicle Maintenance
c. Land Purchase
3. Police & Courts Building:
a. Existing Court Space
4. City Health Building:
a. Community Services
5. Architectural /Contingency
10% each
SECTION 2. The sum of $455,350.00 is hereby appropriated
from a contingency fund of Revenue Sharing funds pursuant to
Ordinance No. 12,912 passed March 27, 1974, to be used to defray
the cost of renovation and land purchased authorized in Section 1
hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
