AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR ADDITIONAL
EXPENDITURES IN PREPARATION FOR THE CLOSING OF
THE PRESENT SANITARY LANDFILL SITE; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the present sanitary
landfill site will be closed by the end of the year 1976 and
in compliance with certain requirements imposed by State regu-
lations, additional expenditures will be necessary; the major
of such expenditures are as follows:
and,
a) supplementary to salary account $7,000.00
b) final cover, soil preparation, seeding 7,500.00
and pine tree seedlings
c) major repairs and additional operating 41,450.00
expense on heavy equipment
d) rental of D -6 Dozer and 10 -12 yd.
scraper (six month period) 33,200.00
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
authorize the appropriation of funds to defray these additional
expenditures.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The sum of $89,150.00 is hereby appropriated
from a contingency fund of Revenue Sharing funds to defray the
costs of additional expenditures in closing down the present
sanitary landfill, which expenditures are set out above.
The said contingency fund was established pursuant to Ordinance
No. 12,912 of the Board of Directors passed March 27, 1974.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
