AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND RECEIVE LEAA GRANT
FUNDS TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL FACILITIES FOR THE
HOUSING OF MUNICIPAL COURTS AND COURT PERSONNEL;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $75,000.00 AS THE CITY'S
MATCHING SHARE OF THE PROJECT COST; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make
application for and receive LEAA Grant funds through the State
Commission on Crime and Law Enforcement for the funds to pro-
vide physical facilities to house the municipal courts of Little
Rock, Arkansas and Court personnel. The project will have a
total cost of $300,000.00 of which Federal grant funds will
be $195,000.00, matched with $30,000.00 of State funds and
$75,000.00 of City funds.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the unappro-
priated balance of the General Fund the sum of $75,000.00 to
provide the City's matching share of the total project cost.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
