AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
MAKE APPLICATION FOR AND RECEIVE LEAA GRANT
FUNDS TO PROVIDE A PROBATION OFFICER FOR THE
MUNICIPAL COURT PROBATION PROGRAM; APPROPRIATING
FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PUIP OSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to make
application for and to receive LEAA grant funds through the
State Commission on Crime and Law Enforcement for the funding
of a probation officer for the Municipal Court Probation Pro-
gram. This officer will be responsible for total coordination
of the volunteer program of the Municipal Court Probation
Program.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated the sum of $508.00
from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to provide
the City's matching share of the project cost.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
