AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 13,122
OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS PASSED DECEMBER 16,
1975 PERTAINING TO THE FRANCHISE TAX AGAINST
ARKANSAS LOUISIANA GAS COMPANY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS, on December 16, 1975 the Board of Directors
passed Ordinance No. 13,122 which provided for a franchise
tax to be assessed against Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company
for the year 1976 in the amount of $313,200.00, said amount
being based on the number of meters located within the City;
and,
WHEREAS, Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company has reported to
the City an increase of 4,401 meters over the number previously
provided for 1976 franchise tax purposes, thus causing the
franchise amount to be increased to $334,998.00.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The franchise tax for the year 1976 to be paid
to the City of Little Rock by Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company is
hereby increased to the sum of $334,998.00 due to the increase
in the numbers of meters as provided by said Gas Company.
SECTION 2. Except as amended herein, all other parts of
Ordinance No. 13,122 shall be and remain as stated therein and
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
