AN ORDINANCE AMENDING IN PART ORDINANCE
NO. 13,347 OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE
RATE OF TAXATION OF PROPERTY FOR CITY
PURPOSES FOR THE YEAR 1977; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 13,347 of the City
of Little Rock, same being an Ordinance establishing the rate
of taxation of property for City purposes for the year 1977 and
for other purposes is hereby amended to read as follows:
For general purposes in order to carry on the affairs of
the City Government under Section 4, Article 12 of and
Amendment 10 to the Constitution of Arkansas of 1874,
there is hereby levied a tax of five mills (5).
For the purpose of paying bonds and interest as may be
required for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, refunding
and Capital Improvement Bonds approved at a special
election held on September 21, 1976, a tax of three and
Seventy -five one hundredths (3.75) mills.
For the purpose of paying bonds and interest for the City
of Little Rock Airport Improvement Bonds, issued on
February 1, 1968, a tax of one and twenty -five one
hundredths (1.25) mills.
For the purpose of paying Policemen's Pensions in accor-
dance with the provisions of Amendment No. 31 to the
Constitution of the State of Arkansas, a tax of One
(1) mill.
For the purpose of paying Firemen's Pensions, in accor-
dance with the provisions of Amendment No. 31 to the
Constitution of the State of Arkansas, adopted November 5,
1940 and Act 16 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
the State of Arkansas for the year 1941, a tax of one
(1) mill.
For the purpose of maintaining the City Library, in accor-
dance with the provisions of Amendment No. 30 to the Con-
stitution of the State of Arkansas, a tax of One (1) mill.
For the purpose of paying bonds and interest for the City
of Little Rock as may be required for General Obligations
Industrial Development Bonds, authorized under Amendment
No. 49 to the Constitution of the State of Arkansas, and
authorized in an election held on May 12, 1964, a tax of
sixty one hundredths of a mill (.60).
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
a certified copy of this Ordinance to the County Clerk of Pulaski
County to the end that the taxes herein recited may be extended
on the tax books of Pulaski County and collected with the other
taxes for the year 1977.

SECTION 3. It is hereby found and declared that an emer-
gency exists and this Ordinance being necessary for the public
peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
